About Joe Carey: My name is Joe Carey and I was born and raised in the waterfowl rich area of Grafton, Illinois where the Mississippi and the Illinois Rivers meet and is known for premier duck hunting. Grafton is a place where thousands of waterfowl stop during their migration. We have three very large federal waterfowl refuges that support migrating waterfowl. The hunting areas around these refuges are public. I hunt every day of the waterfowl season. I am also from four generations of hard-core duck hunters and my son and grandsons are the 5th and 6th generations.
About Our Calls: I have always wanted to produce my own calls for duck and goose hunting and after 36 years of being a journeyman machinist, and being pushed into early retirement due to a plant closure, I decided to pursue my dream of making my own calls. With the help of my son, Andy, who is part owner, we have developed a high quality duck and goose call for the hard-core hunter.
"The Public Hunter" is laser engraved on each call. These calls are 100% field-tested and used every day of the season on public hunting areas.
